Course Duration | The B Licence program entails a minimum of 12 months and a maximum of 18 months of work. This includes the following:

Course Description | The B Licence workshop is the first step on the Performance Stream pathway and prepares the coach to progress to the Canada Soccer A Licence. The B Licence continues the facilitation of learning opportunities so that the coach may work effectively with senior players in the Performance Stream. The B Licence content involves theoretical and practical components focusing on holistic, effective coaching in the Performance Stream. The workshop covers content including:

Course Outcomes | Upon successful completion of the B Licence, the coach will be able to demonstrate the competencies associated with coaching and managing individual players and small groups of players in the Performance Stream, including designing, delivering, and reflecting on all aspects of on and off field activities. |
Licence Validity | The B Licence is valid for a period of five (5) years. At the end of the 5-year validity period, the C Licence may be renewed by following the Canada Soccer Maintenance and Renewal process. |
Target Candidate | The target candidate for the B Licence is currently coaching players aged 18+ in a Unversity, Colelge, or Club/Academy environment. |
