Learn to Train

Coaching Program	Grassroots Coach Education Program
Course Duration	The Learn to Train workshop includes a 1-2 online, theoretical workshop & a 4 hour in-person workshop.
Course Description	The Learn to Train workshop is focused on the technical and tactical development within a small sided game environment (6v6, 7v7, 8v8) and is geared towards coaches who are coaching players between the ages of 9 and 12. This workshop will cover: How to teach basic principles of play How to establish training ethics and discipline in a fun and challenging environment How to communicate to this specific age group This is a key time to train speed, flexibility and skills and understand your role in developing these skills
Course Outcomes	The successful coach will have also completed the following: Respect in Sport Activity Leader Program; NCCP Making Ethical Decisions.
Licence Validity	No expiration of Trained Coach status.
Target Candidate	The target candidate for the Learn to Train workshop is currently coaching players aged 9 to 12 and has a desire to further their knowledge and skills in coaching.
Admission Criteria	Currently in or seeking a coaching role
