Canada Soccer recently released their 2023 Canada Soccer Coach Education Minimum Standards. Manitoba Soccer has adapted our standards to be consistent with those from our national governing body.
All Grassroots Stream coaches (U4-U12 Recreational and Developmental) and Community Stream (U13-U18 Recreational) will need to complete the following requirements:

- Completion of an up to date Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector (expires every 3 years)
- Completion of an up to date Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders course (expires every 5 years)
- Completion of only the online theoretical portion of the appropriate Canada Soccer Grassroots coaching course for the age/stage they are coaching
- Completion of the Respect Group Keeping Girls in Sport Program for any coaches working with youth teams that include girls and gender diverse people
