About the Games
The Manitoba Games is the largest Multi-sport event held in the Province with close to 4,000 athletes, coaches, and team officials participating. The Games help to provide Manitoba athletes with a fantastic experience that will instill a passion for the game. Manitoba Soccer has developed a Four-Year Plan that also links the Manitoba Games to the Western Canada Summer Games and the Canada Games.
 


2021 Manitoba Summer Games - Dauphin, Manitoba

Update: As of December 11, 2020 the Manitoba Summer Games have been cancelled. The next Summer Games will be held in Dauphin in 2024.

The 2020 Manitoba Summer Games have been postponed until July 2021 due to COVID-19. 

The 2021 Manitoba Games will be held in Dauphin, Manitoba from July 11-17. 

16 Teams (8 male and 8 female) will compete from the 5 Manitoba regions.

The team breakdown will be as follows:

Winnipeg Region (2 male and 2 female teams)
​North Region (1 male and 1 female team)
East Region (1 male and 1 female team)
​South Region (2 male and 2 female teams)
West Region (2 male and 2 female teams)

Athlete Selection/Try-out Process

​​In order to be eligible to compete in the 2021 Manitoba Games, players must be:
  • Be a registered player in Manitoba at any level
  • Be born within the specified age category for their region: Age groups TBD at a later date
    ​Winnipeg Region 
    North Region 
    East Region 
    South Region 
    West Region 
ATHLETE FILL POLICY
Age categories will be expanded  for those regions needing extra numbers. Regions needing extra numbers will be based on the first Manitoba Games Festival numbers. If the total player pool for a single region is below 25 players, teams will be able to select the best available players. If the total player pool is above 25 players, those regions determined to need an expanded age group will be able to select a maximum of 6 overaged players. The purpose of the fill policy is to help ensure that each region has a viable team and to make the teams as competitive as possible.
