Fitness Standards

 

Outdoor Referee Fitness Test Standards

All MSA Registered Referees on the Senior List are required to sign up for and attend the Mandatory Fitness Test. Annual Fitness Testing typically is scheduled in the months of April and May.

Regional and District Senior List Referees will be required to run the beep test. Selected officials, promotional pathway officials and those nominated for National Competitions will be required to run the FIFA HI Intensity Test.

*The Beep Test may be used for National list officials for practice and training purposes but will not replace the FIFA High Intensity Test as the mandatory fitness testing protocol.

Indoor Referee Fitness Test Standards

All returning MSA Indoor Referees are required to sign up for and attend the Mandatory Fitness Test, which will include the Beep Test Aerobic Fitness Assessment for Soccer. Standards for the Indoor Test will be the same as listed above for the beep test.
