About the Program
The Manitoba Soccer Technical Department is committed to supporting the development of technical player and coach pathways across Manitoba. Grassroots learning is particularly important to the future growth of soccer within our Province. The Community Outreach program seeks to engage our Members in delivering developmental programs that support Canada Soccer’s Long Term Player Development Plan.
Programs Offered
Listed below are the Grassroots Development programs that are available through the Community Outreach Program. At present there are five programs being offered, although additional support is afforded on request.
Active Start (U3-U5)
Physical Literacy & Active with the Ball
Active Start workshops led by Manitoba Soccer focusing on supporting parents,
and volunteers in creating positive environments for young players.
Active Start Coaching Course - April 13, & 28
FUNdamentals (U6-U8)
Enhancing Physical Literacy through Ball Mastery
Training and support for Community coaches and volunteers through Grassroots
Festivals.
FUNdamentals Coaching Course - April 13/14, & 29
Learning to Train (U9-U12)
Introducing Team Play and Developing Good Training Habits
Workshops and training that focuses on developing the individual player
within a team environment.
Learn to Train Coaching Course - April 14/15
Soccer for Life (U13+)
Continued Participation in the Sport as a Healthy Lifestyle Choice
Fitness and technical skills development for players of all ages and abilities.
